What is Nutz?

Nutz is a unique casino game developed by Club Gaming Pty Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Crown Resorts Group. It is available exclusively on the gaming floors of Melbourne’s Crown Casino. Played with five dice that are shaken in a cup, the aim of the game is to place a bet on one of seven possible outcomes of the dice roll.

Betting options

There are several wagering options in Nutz: Nutz, Quads, Full House, Trips, Two Pair, Pair, Stright and No Hand. We explain what each bet type is and their payouts in further detail below. A player must bet on at least one of these options, and can bet on up to all seven. The minimum and maximum bets permissible depend on the table you are playing at, with Crown Melbourne clearly displaying all betting limits on Nutz tables.

Guide to playing Nutz

NutzGameplay in Nutz takes place over three shakes of the dice cup as follows:

  1. Once all players have moved their betting chips to their chosen wagering option on the Nutz betting table, game play begins with the dealer shaking the five dice using the dice cup, or asking a player to shake the cup.
  2. If the outcome of the shake is a Full House, No Hand, Straight or Nutz, the round is complete and all bets are paid out accordingly. If the outcome of the shake results in a Pair, Trips, Quads or Two Pair, the matching dice are held and the un-matching dice are shaken in the dice cup again.
  3. After the second shake, if any of the dice match the held dice, they will also be held. Any remaining un-matched dice are shaken in the dice cup for a third and final time. After the third shake, the five dice form your final hand and any winnings are paid accordingly.

Nutz payout combinations and payouts
