Our verdict

If you love classic poker machines, you will find plenty to like about Karaoke Party. It plays much like those old-school video slots you still see at land based casinos, and the flashing visuals and upbeat dance soundtrack only add the authentic retro feel.

Like many of Microgaming’s recent releases, we wish there was a bit more under the hood here. Free spins and multiplier wilds are nothing new, while the lack of interactive bonus play is in stark contrast to what rival developers such as Betsoft and NetEnt are doing with their new titles.

For those who aren’t all that bothered with innovative features and other such bells and whistles, however, this game ticks all the boxes. You can choose your paylines, there are some big-paying symbol combos on offer among the regular stream of winners, and a $0.01-$90 betting limit opens the door for the meekest and the mightiest bankrolls alike.

While it’s not a game-changer by any means, the Karaoke Party slot is fun, flexible, and perfect for players with a taste for the simple and the vintage. We give it seven thumbs up.
