Scientific Games Corp has won the exclusive contract to provide national lottery services in Kazakhstan.

Listed in New York, the game technology provider said it will be providing dedicated lottery products to up to 3,000 retailers in the landlocked Asian nation.

Some of the exclusive lottery services to be provided include instant, scratch and draw games.

JSC Satty Zhuldyz already has a 15-year contract won in February 2017 to manage the Kazakhstan National Lottery.

President of JSC Satty Zhuldyz, Alexander Ten, expressed delight over the prospect of Scientific Games coming to the country.

He disclosed that the agreement would “bring the fun and entertainment of lottery to the Republic of Kazakhstan.”

Apart from the fact that lottery players stand to earn significant amount of money from the games, Ten said the partnership would generate considerable revenue to fund the Kazakhstan Ministry of Sports and Culture as well as the Kazakhstan Olympic team.

Scientific Games’ Lottery Group CEO Jim Kennedy added that the venture would be a big boost to the Kazakhstani people and noted the country’s status as an economic powerhouse in the Central Asia region.

For its own part, Scientific Games generated revenue of $17.5 million in 2017 from lottery – 9% more than what it achieved in 2016.

Instantgames is the company’s most popular offering, generating 8% to hit a revenue of $10.6 million mostly derived from the US.
