Microgaming: StarDust pokie will be released in December

Remember when Microgaming planned to release Peek-A-Boo last month, but never did? Well it is finally set to be released next month, only it will feature an entirely different theme and name – StarDust.

While we can only offer speculation as to what exactly happened with the Peek-A-Boo release we can offer up a promo video of the new Microgaming slot, StarDust, and a confirmed release for this December.

Following the same format as Peek A Boo, Stardust features 5 reels and 4 rows, along with 40 paylines in the base game that magically transform into the 1024 ways to win format during the Free Spins feature.

What is different is the reels are lined with dazzling gems, which are set on a backdrop of outer space. We are reminded of Net Entertainment’s Starburst slot, but only visually. Microgaming have stuck to their trademark feature by including the traditional 10 to A symbols in StarDust, which you don’t see on Starburst.

The Ghost Metre from Peek-A-Boo has transformed into the StarDust Metre here, which you need to fill up – done so by collecting gems. To collect the gems all you have to do is land the Galaxy symbol on the middle reel, and a gem will then be stored in the metre. You will receive a cash prize for every gem collected and once the metre is full (10 gems need to be collected) you will be granted 10 free spins.

This unique way of triggering the Free Spins feature was the main reason we were so excited about Peek-A-Boo, but we’re content knowing we will be able to try it in just a few more weeks on StarDust.

The Free Spins feature sees the 40 paylines transform into the 1024 ways to win format. There are also some unique additions here too, including Super Stacked Wilds and Radiant ReSpins. The Radiant ReSpins are activated by landing at least a three symbol win and the last two reels will then re-spin in order to give you a chance at an even bigger win.
